Meeting your needs

To ensure that your website meets your needs and is delivered on time we need to follow a basic process. A summary is shown below. We have also written a Website Planning document. You can use this to gather the relevant information we need to begin the design of your website.

What we'll do

  • Work with you to define the website’s purpose and audience
  • Agree a concept within your budget
  • Develop a schedule which will form the basis of the overall project. The schedule is, admittedly, a dry document but it's vital as it basically drives the whole project!
  • Present our proposals including an outline of size, structure and functionality
  • Offer you a design concept including page layout and colours
  • Build a ‘draft’ website (often with dummy copy and graphics) and submit for consideration
  • Amend in line with feedback
  • Build the final website and submit for customer acceptance
  • Achieve 'sign-off' of the website and publish

How you can help

Think about your website's purpose, target audience and functionality. To help you do this we've developed a Website Planning document. This will help you to gather and structure vital information.

Completing a Website Plan will help us to understand the requirements for your new website. At the very least it will help you to structure those requirements. Hopefully it will also prompt thoughts and ideas which might otherwise have been missed.

You can complete the plan yourself, or we can use it as a basis for discussion when planning your website. It will, ultimately, save time in the future and help us to produce a great website for you.

  • Gather information on your ‘house’ style including colours and logo
  • Prepare logos, photographs and graphics which are to be included
  • Write the copy (the text for each page)
  • Look at our proposal and drafts and let us know what you like and what should be changed
  • Agree to the final design
  • Test the website during its acceptance period
  • Accept the website and publish
